Angela Florio likes to describe herself as a contemporary decorator.
Her DecorAzione (Décor/Action) atelier in Milan is an studio of applied arts, spanning design, interior decoration and textile printing. She uses modern materials, therefore breaking free of old academic patterns and adopting a more contemporary style. The main techniques and materials she implements are gold leaves, Oriental lacquers and engravings. These methods are combined with a deep study of the past, as well as a long-standing tradition of research and experimentation, giving her projects an inimitable flair and turning each piece into a unique creation. Her works interact with the environment and with light, thus revealing unexpected nuances and meanings.
